NUAA-KU Leuven Student Exchange Program

Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) on behalf of its College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (NUAA-CMEE), and KU Leuven on behalf of its Faculty of Engineering Science have agreed to establish a mutual student exchange program for the educational and cultural enrichment of both universities. Each party in this program may send up to ten (10) students to the partner institution each semester or each academic year. This program starts from 2020.

1. Academic Status

All students from NUAA-CMEE will remain enrolled as regular candidates for degrees at NUAA; they shall not be enrolled as candidates for degrees at KU Leuven. Credits toward the students' degrees in NUAA are to be awarded by NUAA. Students are expected to maintain the equivalent of a full-time course load at KU Leuven.

2. Selection

Participating students shall be selected by NUAA-CMEE on the basis of the following criteria:

• academic merit

• students must have an English Language Competence Certificate to IELTS level 7 or pass the English Interview organized by KU Leuven.

• willingness to learn, especially at KU Leuven.

3. Education Pattern

The senior students have finished their first seven semesters’ courses and get corresponding credits. According to their remaining credits to meet their graduation requirements, they are expected to take at least two (2) courses at KU Leuven by the approval of his or her supervisors at both NUAA and KU Leuven, and they shall work on their graduation project at KU Leuven under the guidance of his or her supervisors at both NUAA and KU Leuven.

4. Tuition

Students participating in this exchange program shall register and pay tuition to their home university. They shall be exempt from paying any tuition or regular academic fees to the host university.
