Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering:

The subject of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering was approved for the doctorate award point in 1998, the subject of mechanical engineering which belongs to has the first-level Doctoral Degree Grant, with a postdoctoral station. The subject focuses on intelligent manufacturing and equipment technology, optical electromechanical control and detection technology, robot technology.The main research directions including intelligent robot technology, electrical and mechanical equipment sensing and testing technology, digital control system and equipment technology, intelligent manufacturing and logistics automatic transportation technology,aerospace action and control technology, electro-hydraulic servo control, intelligent material and structure, mechanical multi-body system dynamics,flexible manufacturing system, digital design and manufacturing, etc.

The department currently has 16 professors (14 Doctor mentors),15 associate professors (including senior engineer),12 lecturers (including engineers). It built up a large number of high-level talents in recent years: 14 postdoctoral students, more than 100 doctoral students, over 500 masters, 20 excellent master thesis.

The department of mechanical and electronic engineering has made remarkable achievements in its related research fields, undertaking projects at various levels, including national key R & D programs, national defense pre-research, thenational natural science foundation of China, and provincial funds for the transformation of major scientific and technological achievements, and it has carried out multi-level, multi-type scientific research and technology development. In recent years, the department has won 1 the national second prize of science and technology progress, 3first prize of Science and technology progress at provincial and ministerial level, 3 second prize and 2 third prize of Science and technology progress at provincial and ministerial level. Over 300 academic papers published in the last five years, including more than 80 SCI papers, over 100 EI papers, more than 80 authorized national invention patents.

The department has established extensive academic exchanges and collaborative research with many universities and research institutions at home and abroad: University of Arizona, University of Maryland, University of Edinburgh, Nanyang Technological University, Swiss Federal Inst. of Technology, Chiba University、Hong Kong Polytechnic University. And the main academic leaders hold important positions in famous international and domestic academic institutions, such as CIRP, CAPE, ISEM, China Institute of Mechanical Engineering Production Engineering Committee.
